The Yuba Sutter Combat Wrestling Club, founded by Jared Slack in 2003. and now led by Combat Wrestling OG Timmy Nevarez, offers an elite wrestling program for serious athletes. As a Sutter High School alumni and a distinguished wrestler, Timmy Nevarez brings a wealth of experience to the club. His achievements include being a 2X College All-American at Sacramento City College—placing 3rd and 6th—and earning titles such as Greco-Roman Senior Level All-American, with a 5th place finish, and Cadet Greco-Roman State Champion.

We focus on honing technical skills, fostering mental toughness, and instilling a passion for the sport. Our comprehensive training regimen is designed to attract dedicated wrestlers who aim to excel in competitions and carry the lessons learned into all aspects of life.

Our program is designed to enhance every aspect of your wrestler’s abilities through intense conditioning, endurance training, and techniques ranging from beginner to advanced levels. If you choose our program, your wrestler will receive comprehensive instruction in a wide variety of skills, including basic to advanced takedowns, escapes, leg attacks, leg riding, hand fighting, reversals, breakdowns, and pinning combinations.

We offer a 9 month program (September-May)that covers all three wrestling disciplines: Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling.
